We are requesting Tribal and community member volunteer support for:
- Thursday, May 14th from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Housing Garage (2451 Nish-Na-Be-Anong Rd.)
- Friday, May 15th from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm (or until trees are gone) at the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College Parking Lot (5805 E. Pickard St.)
Volunteer tasks include but are not limited to: shredding paper; stuffing grocery bags; separating root clusters; taking tree orders; watering, sorting, and labeling trees; fulfilling orders; discussing tree care techniques or recommendations; taking photos; and additional event support.
Bring your own lunch (not provided). Safety and photo waivers are required. Will have access to water and shade.
Free Tree Giveaway (Friday, May 15th)
Open and free to Tribal members, Tribal employees, and local community members. The 2026 Tree List includes: Eastern Redbud, Sugar Maple, Tuliptree, Ironwood, White Cedar, White Paper Birch, Red Oak, and Red Osier Dogwood. Each order will be limited to 8 species with a limit of 2 maximum per species and will fit in small cars without issues.
