Douglas Lorne Gage, age 75, of Port Huron, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, and entered Heaven’s gates with joy.
Doug proudly worked for Detroit Edison for many years and was known affectionately as “Gadget.” Doug had a special gift for electronics and loved putting things together, fixing problems, and figuring out how things worked. Whether it was a small project or a complicated device, Doug approached it with curiosity, patience, and joy. His creativity and clever mind were admired by everyone around him.
Doug was blessed with and is survived by three beautiful daughters: Tamara Wright, Marlena Fuchs and Paula Gage. Though Doug was naturally quiet and kept to himself at times, he loved his family deeply and carried that love with him always.
Doug will forever be remembered for his gentle heart, clever mind, his sense of humor, and his ability to fix just about anything. Though he will be deeply missed, his family celebrates the wonderful life he lived and the memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
Doug loved Jesus and lived his life with faith in his heart. His family finds peace knowing he is now in Heaven, reunited with loved ones and resting in eternal peace.
