Jacqueline "Jackie" Marie Jackson, age 44, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, September 03, 2026 at the McLaren Flint Hospital.
Funeral Services for Jackie will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 12 noon with Michelle Sponseller officiating. Interment will follow in the Chippewa Township Cemetery. A Luncheon will take place at the Tribal Gym following the committal service. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Jackie was born on August 29, 1982, in Alma, daughter of Orville Henry and Michelle Ann (West) Jackson. Jackie was a proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and loved living on the reservation. Jackie loved playing online games, listening to music, coloring, and swore like a sailor. She enjoyed spending time around an open fire pit. Jackie loved spending time with all of her family, and her children were here life.
Jackie is survived by her significant other, Paul Shomin, Jr.; nine children, Seray Jackson, Charlie Isham (Megan Kaniski), Josie Isham (Andrew Chivis), Jasmine Isham (Kiyenn Pilar), Mayson Jackson, Harley Jackson, Garner Shomin, Jozzlyn Shomin, and Myron Shomin; grandchildren, Marcel Magnell, Hazel Shomin, Ahmik Chivis, Logan Isham, and Jade Pilar; mother, Michelle Jackson; father, Orville Jackson; siblings, Melanie (Jamie) Burger, Nickena (Terry) VanHorn, Barry (Tahsheenah) Jackson, and Orville "Ozzie" (Jeska) Jackson; aunts and uncles, Mary Ellen (Tim) Prescott, Janet Barnhart, Guy Jackson, Bruce (Nan) West, and Christopher West; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her daughter, Onyx; grandparents, Larry and Barbara West, Josephine and Willis Jackson; aunt, Nancy West; uncles, Barry and Jeffrey "Gutt" Jackson; cousins, Rodney Jackson, Annie Barnhart, Sara Teft.
