Please join us this year for the annual SCIT Free Tree Giveaway that will be held on Friday, May 15^th from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm (or until trees last) in the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College parking lot (5805 E. Pickard St.).

The 2026 Tree List includes: Eastern Redbud, Sugar Maple, Tuliptree, Ironwood, White Cedar, White Paper Birch, Red Oak, and Red Osier Dogwood.

This event is open to Tribal members, employees, and local community. Order forms will be provided at the event and will not be held – first come first serve. Bare root trees will be deliver is grocery bags with shredded paper to transport home and will easily fit in all vehicle sizes. Each person can receive up to 8 trees with a max of limit of 2 trees per species.
